EOBI Old-Age Grant
Description
One-time lump-sum grant paid to insured workers who reach retirement age but do not meet the 15-year contribution requirement for a monthly old-age pension. The grant equals one month's average wage for each completed year of insurable employment, provided at least 2 years of contributions were paid.
✅ Eligibility Criteria
Registered worker with EOBI; age 60+ (men) or 55+ (women, and mine workers); insurable employment contributions paid for less than 15 years but not less than 2 years; not otherwise entitled to old-age pension; extra service period exceeding six months counts as a full additional year for calculation
